My Approach to Therapy
My aim is to support individuals in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves, while equipping them with the tools to navigate both past difficulties and present challenges.
Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to explore unhelpful thought patterns, behaviours, and ways of relating to yourself and others. Through this process, you’ll begin to view situations from new perspectives and learn how to challenge limiting beliefs that may be affecting your emotional wellbeing. These skills help lay the foundation for lasting change — improving your relationship with yourself, those around you, and the wider world.
I work with a broad range of concerns, including relationship issues, low mood, stress, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), a loss of meaning or purpose, identity challenges, and self-esteem difficulties.
While my practice is grounded in evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), I take an integrative approach, drawing from various therapeutic modalities to suit each individual. These include Compassion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Psychosynthesis techniques. I also have a particular interest in the mind-body connection and how it can support healing and personal growth.
I am a registered and fully accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and adhere to their ethical guidelines and professional code of practice.
